USED BAYONET M1853/72 BRITISH MARTINI-ENFIELD

Description

Original British M1853/72 socket bayonet for the Martini-Enfield MkI and MkII rifles. These were M8153 Enfield bayonets that had the socket bushed to fit the smaller muzzle of the Martini. Blade and socket are in good condition with smooth dark patina. Brass chape is missing from the scabbard. The scabbard is marked with the broadarrow, and “Q.O.R.” over “357”. I assume this is for the Queen’s Own Rifles.
